Sean Mendes and Camilla Cabello "talked" during their performance at Wango Tango, six months after their split.

Sean Mendes, 23, and Camilla Cabello, 25, could have had an awkward encounter when they performed at Wango Tango last weekend, but they did interact, and things went smoothly. The singers, who separated in November, even "chat" on popular music shows and act like "flirty best friends" since the end of their novels.

 While it was expected to be uncomfortable, it wasn't for him," an EXCLUSIVE source told HollywoodLife. "It would have been more uncomfortable for them to avoid each other and say nothing. This isn't the first time they've run into each other, and outside of their interactions, they've always been a little flirtatious but not passionate. They are more like flirtatious friends who have a lot of love and respect for each other."

"They did it as a professional," the source continued. "Also, Sean and Camilla's breakup was harmless, and they only said nice things about each other. There was no bullshit spoken and no accusations made that it was a mature breakup, and they still have a lot of respect and love for one another.

According to insiders, the ex got together because of the same professional circle and understood that sometimes they are "booked for the same concert" because they both have the same career. "They have the same government, which is part of what brought them together from the start," the insider said. 

"They were always booked in the same place simultaneously and still are. So if one of them doesn't decide to leave, which is doubtful because of their good career, they know they will be booked for the same concert. The fact that they oddly didn't make things go much smoother for everyone around them."
