Valerie Bertinelli told Hoda Kotb that after splitting up with Tom Vitale, she didn't see herself looking for love anymore. So instead, Valerie Bertinelli embraces a lonely life.

The 62-year-old actress and Food Network host explained that she has no plans to remarry after filing for divorce from her husband Tom Vitale, who was ten until she met Hoda Cott on the Today show.

"I would be so much than happy to have a happy divorce and spend the rest of my life alone," Bertinelli said Thursday. "I would love to. Well, with my six cats, my dog ​​, my son, and hopefully someday grandchildren."

When asked if he ever saw each other looking for love again, Bertinelli doubled down. "Oh my God, no," he said.

"Because of the challenges I'm going through now, divorce sucks. I can't imagine trusting anyone to let him into my life again. So I have some confidence issues that I believe we must overcome," added Bertinelli.

The Hot in Cleveland star file for legal divorce from Vitale, 58, in November, citing "irreconcilable differences," and then changed her divorce filing in May.

The One Day at a Time alum married Eddie Van Halen from 1981 to 2007 and has a 31-year-old son, Wolfgang. Eddie died of a stroke in October 2020 at 65 after battling throat and lung cancer.
