Jennifer Aniston has thoughts on the famous TikTok salad that bears her name.

In recent months, the popular variant of Cobb salad has gone viral on social media, with consumers claiming that the star has been eating lunch on the set of Friends every day for the past ten years. But Aniston is here to debunk the lettuce myth.

In an interview with ELLE in June, the "Friends" star finally broke the record. "It looks like a delicious salad, but it's not what I have at Friends," he told the outlet. Made by several TikTok users, the main ingredients of this salad include diced cucumber, quinoa, pistachio slices, diced onion, mint, parsley, and mashed feta. Then the final product is coated with olive oil and lemon juice, and a whole box of chickpeas is poured over it.

That last ingredient is why Aniston claims it's not his lunch at work. She admits she won't mix a lot of chickpeas into her salad because "it's not good for the digestive tract," she says.

While he began to deny the lettuce rumors, he also acknowledged the significant impact of the viral trend. "I felt bad because he was crazy," she said. But the stories surrounding the salad, which have garnered millions of views on social media, remain a mystery.

In December 2020, news shared what Aniston ate in one day, according to her Instagram takeover by her beauty company, Living Proof, and posted a similar salad.

"My perfect salad," he wrote of the light lunch. "Bulgarian, cucumber, parsley, mint, onion, chickpeas, feta cheese, and pistachios."

Social media users also appeared to be inspired by the recipe from a 2010 interview with the Los Angeles Times, in which Courtney Cox described Cobbs as a "doctor's salad" and said Aniston added turkey and chickpeas to the dish. Based on some information on the internet, TikTokers have created their variations, primarily based on chickpeas, mint, and parsley ingredients. TikTok user @themodernnonna helped popularize the trend with a January video of her recipe, which she adapted. The video received more than 105,000 likes on the platform.
