Buddy Valastro is the father of daughter Sofia, 19, and sons Buddy Jr., 17, Marco, 15, and Carlo, 11

Talking to news about his partnership with Kinetic Sand, the Cake Boss star, 45, opened up his hopes of revealing his father's life and sharing more about his kids on social media and broadcasts.

Valastro, who shares his children Sofia, 19, Be Junior, 17, Marco, 15, and Carlo, 11, with his wife Lisa, said he wanted to "see" now that his children were older what they were doing and how they were spending. Their time together.

"You don't understand what people want. It's like people want to know, "What do you and your kids do?" or "Do you cook?" or "Do you hang out?" or "What do you like to do?" he said.

"When they were younger, I wanted to keep it more for myself, my business, and what I do," explains Valastro. "But now that they've evolved and entered it, we'll break down that fourth wall and take a look." As Father's Day approaches, the baker shares his plans for the upcoming holiday.

"My dad is happy every day when we're together," she said. "We'll have a barbecue. We'll be at our house on the New Jersey coast, weather permitting, or up north at the main house when the weather is bad; eat well, go out, and be a family together."

Valastro said he also took time to honor his late father on a memorable holiday: "I felt he was an important part of my life, and I pay his respects," Valastro said of his father, who died of liver cancer in 1994. "I can speak with her anytime, even when she's not with me."

She added, "I always do little moments or posts because it honestly made me who I am today."
