"He can throw it in the kitchen now," restaurant owner Smoke International told Riley's daughter 9 PEOPLE, 9 ... Kari Aisha has the cutest cook alive.

The self-taught chef, who loves to get creative in the kitchen as he prepares meals for his family of five, tells PEOPLE that he realizes apples don't fall far from the tree to his daughter, Riley.

"My nine-year-old son, the eldest, has been amazing these days," said Ayesha, 33, who works with Executive Chef Michael Mina at his restaurant International Smoke at MGM Grand Las Vegas.

Additionally, Ayesha, mother of daughter Ryan, 6, and son Cannon, 3, with Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry, said Riley's talent was "insane." "He made us this chicken pizza from earlier that night," he said. "I didn't do anything at all. People would hit me like, 'That's fake, isn't it?' And I said to myself, 'Absolutely not, no.' He did it from start to finish, and it was true. Delicious. I was so proud I could cry."

Things get a little rushed at the Curry house when Ayesha's husband of 10 years plays in the NBA Finals. But, she still likes to relax in the kitchen over dinner with the help of her children.

"My husband immediately opened the wine for me because he didn't drink because it was still season," said Ayesha. "He opened the wine for me, and I liked to have a glass while cooking. And then, of course, the kids prayed for help cutting or cooking." Since Aisha is busy preparing new dishes for her restaurant, it is not surprising that she uses her little chef to try out potential new items from the menu.

"Family is a taste tester," he said. "It was therapy for me. I don't want to cook anymore. I just wanted to eat for 30 minutes, and that's how my latest cookbook came out. But now I'm back to the moment where I like long, complicated meals that take 15 million steps."
