The supermodel's mom told news that she took a six-week break from apps to prioritize her mental Health. But, for Ashley Graham, staying real is more than a slogan; it's a way of life.

Known for her openness and honesty, the supermodel, entrepreneur, and activist recently revealed to news that she builds with her followers while she loves the community.

"I fed the twins together and just sat there and tried to stay awake. And what do you do when you're trying to stay up in the middle of the night? You go to social media," Graham told news at a new panel event. Revlon recently hosted me and the mental health platform Real. "I'm an oblivious scroller. So when I deleted Instagram from my phone, I recognized the change so well that I started telling everyone. It felt so liberating because I had never done it before."

The 34-year-old ambassador for global brand Revlon said disconnecting Instagram from his phone had opened up space for him to read books and allowed him to be more present while also connecting with his growing family. Graham and her husband, Justin Irwin, also have a two-year-old son, Isaac.

"It's just a different way of staying awake than comparing, judging, and fantasizing about things I don't have," he said. Graham added that taking a break from social media also allowed him to check his mental Health and change his priorities.

"If I weren't in a great place mentally as a mother right now, I wouldn't be there for my kids. So no matter how chaotic and active I feel, I always remind myself that this is just one stage, and then we move on to the next."

Partnering with Revlon to raise awareness of his initiative with Real has allowed Graham to engage with more people about the importance of taking time for yourself.

The Real x Revlon campaign, entitled "Take care of Your Mental Health is Beautiful," highlights the positive impact of beauty and Health on mental Health by creating self-care rituals. As part of this initiative, consumers of beauty products can scan a QR code located on one of the co-branded Real x Revlon displays at more than 7,000 CVS, Rite-Aid, and other regional mass retail stores across the country month. In addition, recharge your Real subscription for free when you buy a monthly membership or get three months free when you buy a six-month membership.
