Last month, the singer announced that she had to undergo surgery to remove the abscess from her left tonsil.
On Thursday, 26-year-old singer Say So shared a photo on Twitter of her lying in a hospital bed and telling her followers she had undergone a second surgery due to an infection.
The Grammy winner also posted a video showing her hoarse voice after the procedure as she tries to sing Nicki Minaj's lyrics to Trey Songs' "Bottoms Up." Below the video, several Doja Cat fans wish him a speedy recovery. Doja Cat first announced on Twitter last month that she had surgery to remove an abscess from her left tonsil. In a series of publications, she explained that in the run-up to the Billboard Music Awards (where she won four awards for Best R&B Album, Best Female R&B Artist, Best Female R&B Artist, and Best Viral Song), her tonsils became infected, and then left.
"My whole throat is going to hell, so maybe I'll have some bad news for you soon," he began.
"I was taking antibiotics, but I forgot to take them, then I drank wine and vaping all day, and then I started getting a badass on my tonsils, so they had to operate on them today," they wrote a second post.
The "Kiss Me More" hitmaker shared graphic details of the operation and said she was feeling fine. "I was crying, and it was excruciating, but I'm fine," she said. In response to a fan asking if he plans to continue smoking, the rapper said he is now trying to quit the habit for good.
"I took a break, and I hope after that I don't want to go back," adds Dodge Kat.
Responding to a similar question about vaping from another fan (who has deleted her tweet), the artist pointed out, "No, I was too scared to hit it because my throat hurts so much. I cried for hours. It's not worth it".
Doja Cat then returned to the platform to announce that she would need further surgery and cancel her upcoming show.
