In this week's episode, the home designer takes viewers through the fulfillment of a lifelong dream: Alison Victoria expanding her portfolio!
On this week's episode of Windy City Rehab, the 40-year-old house designer travels to Greece, visiting the Skouras Winery while working on his wine.
"I'm excited about this trip and this opportunity," Victoria, of Greek descent, said in a video from Thursday's episode. "This is me."
"I think that relationship becomes more important as we get older. It's a sense of belonging, a sense of community."
Victoria says they started a "process" at the winery in the episode.
"Having the wine we made together and watching the process from vine to wine is truly an art form," he said. "To be in Greece - to be a Greek American and be very proud of that, also I want to be able to be in this moment and moment and enjoy every minute of it because it's been a dream come true for me.
HGTV's third season he premiered on April 21 after several tumultuous years for the star, including the loss of his father in January 2021.
At first glance at the season leading up to its premiere, Victoria said she would stay because "she would love to do it." However, Victoria also faced some professional challenges, as documented in the second season of the dramatic show.
Since 2019, he has faced a shutdown order from the City of Chicago threatening the suspension of his license and numerous lawsuits, including one of the homeowners represented at Windy City Rehab seeking to freeze his financial assets pending a complaint about inappropriate work at the home he is currently remodeling. More recently, in season three, Victoria revealed a more personal struggle, saying she would freeze her eggs so she could "have a family when [she] is ready."
