Ayesha Curry tells the news that "our classic lighter, brighter and fresher food" is coming to her International Smoke restaurant.
After downloading 35 lbs. and following a vegan diet, the restaurant owner felt inspired to make some changes to his meat-intensive menu.
"[I] haven't eaten meat in about ten months. We serve in restaurants mainly our trio of ribs," Curry told the news of his International Smoked Restaurant, which he co-manages with Executive Chef Michael Mina. "I just feel inspired to create."
The mother-of-three, who has "so many vegan friends," finds it essential to include everyone at the MGM Grand Las Vegas and San Francisco dining establishments.
"I thought, 'We need to do a full vegan spread where someone can come in and say, 'I'm making a vegan tasting menu,' and that's just as good, if not better than anything else." "We offer," he said. "So we're focused on engaging every customer and guest that walks through the door."
He added that visitors can expect "a lighter, brighter and fresher look to all of our classics." Although Curry has started reintroducing his main dishes, such as steak and ribs, into his diet, he is more careful about what meat he puts in his body.
"I love seeing local farms and farms and relying heavily on the community and trying to eat responsibly," she said. Curry has been doing his best during the pandemic. Not only does she put her health first, but through the Eat.Learn.Play foundation, which she runs with her husband Steph, she finds ways to feed 25 million children in need through local restaurants.
