"I've been training on my farm, the backyard looks great, and I get to spend a lot of time playing baseball with my boys," Watson said of her newfound free time.

But that's where the Texas music singer is currently releasing his long-awaited new album "Unwanted Man." Because while he's out on the street singing the songs, his fans have been waiting for, Watson doesn't talk, perform, or even sing.

"This is the first time in 20 years, and maybe 2,500 shows that I'm physically unable to sing," Watson said in a recent email interview with news  due to an ongoing vocal cord injury. "Somehow, my vocal cords became very inflamed, which caused some other problems that took a lot of time to heal."

Watson and his team remain somewhat confused about what led to this ordeal. However, there were several silver pillows that Watson was currently holding.

"The good news is it's not a career-ending injury or something that requires surgery," said Watson, who emerged on the country music scene in 1999. Nevertheless, it has been a tough test for the street fighter who makes a living by touring for his fans.

"To be honest, it was very disappointing," said Watson, who consulted an Alabama specialist during a vocal cord test and told Instagram fans about the procedure she had Thursday. "I had to take time off during this time because of COVID. Singing is what I love, and it's how I support my family, so there are some challenges, but this is life.
