The Food Network star shares her husband's injury in an Instagram post.
The 53-year-old Pioneer Woman star shared a video of the 53-year-old on Friday after working at Drummond Ranch all day. He highlighted the sizeable red streak on his back before revealing how the tears had appeared.
"How was your day, honey?" she asked him in an Instagram post. Joking nonchalantly about the day's events, Lad replied, "He's fine," while playing with the family basset and yellow Labrador retriever.
- Are you sure? Ree followed. "What's going on here?" In the video, he discusses the injury to his back and the gaping tear in his shirt.
Lad, still calm, reveals how he defended his wound: "A cow ran over me - knocked me out," he says, to which Ree replies, "Are you all right?"
"I'm like a turtle on my back," he joked, still petting the dogs. "My back doesn't hurt, but he's standing on my feet. It hurts." Amused by his calm demeanor but still clearly worried, Ree added, "You need Neosporin here, sir."
The couple's eldest daughter, 24-year-old Alex, is also concerned. OMG, he commented on his mother's post. In March 2021, Ladd suffered a much more severe injury while working on his ranch. More than a year ago, he and his nephew Caleb were injured in an accident while fighting a fire on an Oklahoma property. As a result, Lad suffered a broken neck.
A year later, Ree posted a blog about her husband's condition. "He lifts weights. He rides his horse. He feeds the cattle and does all the farm work he used to do," the chef wrote. "Of course, his neck is still a little stiff and probably always will be," he continued. She couldn't turn her head when I called out, "Oh baby? Can you help me????" from another room. (And that's probably fine with him, lol.)
