Mary Brown married Cody Brown in 1990, but the two are no longer in a romantic relationship.
The Sisters of Wives star shared a glimpse of her weekend outing to the Grand Canyon on Instagram on Sunday. Mary, 51, shared a photo of the canyon at sunset and an encouraging message of Change.
"Sometimes life throws a little indentation," he wrote in the caption. "Sometimes, the bent ball isn't so tattered. Welcome, Change. Say hello to adventure."
He added, "It makes me want to come and spend the whole day here and enjoy all its greatness."
In her Instagram story, Mary shared another photo from the national park. "Just a little jaunt through the Grand Canyon," he captioned the photo.
In recent weeks, this is not the first time Mary has retreated to nature. On Thursday, he shared his views on another hike in Brian Head, Utah. "One of my favorite things in the world is spending time as close to the top as possible," he wrote in the caption. "Find me in the mountains where I am most comfortable." Mary is married to Cody Brown, who is married to Janelle Brown and Robin Brown. The polygamous couple, who appeared on the TLC show Sister Wives, include Christine Brown, who left her marriage to Cody, 53, in November 2021.
Some fans have speculated that Mary could be the next person to divorce Cody based on the couple's comments that she is no longer romantically involved. On the April 2021 episode of Sister Wives, Cody said he and Mary were no longer "in love," meaning they weren't intimately involved.
"He wants to be loved romantically - so there has to be a spark to it. And then he's going to get it, he's going to get romance, love and full marriage and sexual intercourse," he said in a confession. Mary, who married Cody in 1990, is not going anywhere despite breaking up with Cody. "It's just being friends, which I think is good. It's a good thing," he said of his relationship with Cody on the December episode of the show. "But I don't know; I guess I just hoped for more than that."
He added: "If I give up and leave, it won't work. I'm not going anywhere, you. So you stay with me whether you like it or not."
