The former couple diverged in 2020 after three years of marriage... So Julian Huff and Brooks Lich are officially divorced.

The simple couple finalized their divorce on Friday following the verdict in the case, news confirmed.

Details of the divorce settlement were not immediately available.

Huff, 33, and Lich, 38, first separated in May 2020 after social distancing apart during the pandemic. Back then, the former Dancing with the Stars pro and her ex-husband, a hockey player who had been married for almost three years, confirmed the news in a joint statement to PEOPLE.

"We lovingly and carefully took the time we needed to decide to separate," the couple said. "We share much love and respect for one another and will continue to lead from this place with our hearts. As we move forward, we respectfully ask for your compassion and respect for our privacy. Unfortunately, Huff filed for divorce a few months later, in November 2020, rather than her freedom.

Last February, the former couple was one step closer to finalizing their divorce after Huff filed for an absolute divorce, according to court documents obtained by People at the time.

"The parties have signed a written agreement regarding the property and rights of their marriage or family partnership, including alimony, which had originally been filed or filed in court," the statement said.

Huff waives her claim for mate maintenance from Lich, and their agreement is uncontested, according to the records.
