To help her cope with the traumatic robbery, Dorit Kemsley took part in a therapeutic eye movement desensitization and processing (EMDR) session on the latest episode of RHOBH.

Dorit Kemsley allows viewers to learn more about her healing process in The True Wives of Beverly Hills.

In October, a male intruder robbed Dorit at gunpoint at her California home while her children, son Jagger, 8, and daughter Phoenix, 6, slept in another room. Her husband, Paul "PC" Kemsley, was in London when the incident, although he returned home shortly after. Kemsley has since confirmed that his children are still unaware of the breakthrough.

During Wednesday's episode of hit song Bravo, 45-year-old Dorit attended a desensitization and processing (EMDR) eye movement therapy (EMDR) session to help her cope with the horrific invasion of her home. This process aims to "reprogram the brain" so that a person can think less negatively about past traumatic experiences.

Therapist Dorit says that those who experience a traumatic event "break it down into frames because that's how memories are originally stored."

That's why specialists urged the reality star to think about when he lay on the floor with a gun to his head, along with the words: "I'm not sure." This approach sparked deep emotions in Dorit, as she recalled thinking about the safety of her children at that time. "I went from 'I'm not sure' to thinking about my kids," she says, prompting the therapist to direct her to "fix" the feeling.

"Oh, God forbid, something will happen to them," he said. "I can't shake this feeling."

Explicitly asked what feelings she is struggling with, Dorit said: "So scared, so worried, so scared, so sad."

"If I close my eyes, I see headlines: 'Mother Found Dead in Her Bedroom and Children Shot, Found Dead in Her Bed,'" she added tearfully in confession. "Oh my God. My God.

Dorit admitted it took time for her to fully recover from the accident to speak to her therapist again.

"Right now, I feel like ... I feel so far away from where I should be," she said.
