Billie Eilish is an American singer and songwriter. She is best known for her debut single Ocean Eyes. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Coming from a family of musicians, his stage career was his destiny. At the age of 8 he joined a choir and at 11 he started writing and singing his own songs.

His older brother, Finneas O'Connell, had the greatest impact on his life growing up. He had his own band and wrote a song called Ocean Eyes. Billie Eilish performed the song and shared it online. It became a big hit. This turned out to be his first major breakthrough. In 2017, her brother helped her record the single Bellyache. Following the song's success, Billie released her debut EP, Don't Smile at Me, in August 2017.

The EP appeared on multiple US and international charts. In September 2017, Apple named her "Up Next New Artist".

Career

The song Ocean Eyes was recorded in November 2015. It was originally intended for Billie's dance class. She gave the song to her dance teacher and wanted it for her next dance performance.

The song was well received and the brothers decided it should be released on the music sharing platform SoundCloud. The song was uploaded to SoundCloud in November 2015.It was later commercially re-released in November 2016.

The song skyrocketed, garnering over 10 million views in a short span of time. This success was unexpected and led to many more versions. A music video featuring Billie dancing to the song was released in November 2016.

It turned out to be another hit. Several major record companies have reached out to buy the rights to this song. The song was released worldwide by 'Darkroom' and 'Interscope Records'. It became an instant critical and commercial success. At the end of the year, Billie Eilish released another single, Six Feet Under. Inspired by the success of her debut single Ocean Eyes, Billie Eilsih recorded four remixes of the song and compiled them all into an EP entitled Ocean Eyes.

All remixes became huge hits and gave Billie enough courage to pursue her future projects. In February 2017, Billie Eilish released the single Bellyache which was produced and co-written by her brother. The music video for the song, directed by Miles and AJ, was released in March 2017.

Billie Eilish then recorded a song called Bored which was featured on the official soundtrack of the popular Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. Two more singles followed, Watch and Copycat. In July 2017, Billie announced her long-awaited debut EP Don't Smile at Me. .

Prior to the EP's official release, Billie Eilish released two singles from it; My boyfriend and I don't want to be you anymore. Before releasing the EP, he added new songs every Friday. The EP was finally released on August 11, 2017. The same year he collaborated with Vince Staples and released a remix of his song Watch, which was renamed &Burn.

To further promote himself, he had two major tours: Don't smile at me tour in October 2017 and Where's my mind tour in February-April 2018. He also collaborated and collaborated with the famous American singer Khalid the single Bello released in mid-2018.

The song became extremely popular, prompting the producers of 13 Reasons Why to buy the rights and feature it in the show's second season.
