"It was almost like a small ending," Summer Charm star Naomi Olindo told news about her romantic date with ex-boyfriend Craig Conover.

The former couple surprised fans in the new season trailer when they revealed they had only recently met after Olindo returned to Charleston after splitting from Motul Shah. But speaking to news ahead of Thursday's premiere, Olindo explained that rekindling his relationship with Conover was never on the table.

"Neither of us ever thought we would ever get back together," said Olindo, 29. "It happened a year ago, and it was kind of a one-two, where you just get to know each other, and you feel comfortable having it fun."

"It was almost like a small graduation at the same time because we've been together for so long, and now we're finally friends again after so long," she said. "But it's nothing more than that."

Olindo also  Conover dated for almost three years before splitting up in September 2017. And while their surprise relationship was a hot topic at Southern Charm, Olindo said he never expected anyone to care.

"I didn't know it would be such a big deal," he explains. "I went to the show a year later, and at first,, I thought I could come back,, also it would fly under the radar,, and no one would understand. But no one works that way in our circle of friends. So yeah... what happened in Vegas has been the talk of many people."

The pair became close during the filming of Winter House as Conover was in another relationship that ended shortly after filming the spinoff Summer House in 2021, and the Giggly Squad host's insecurities over his developing relationship with Conover grew documented in the final season at Home.
