Jason Schwartzman has joined the cast of The Hunger Games: A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, a prequel to the Hunger Games.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Schwartzman will play Lucretius Lucky Flickerman, host of 10 Hunger Games and predecessor of Caesar Flickerman. The latter will voice the Hunger Games and be played by Stanley Tucci in the original Hunger Games film.

Rachel Zegler directs the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes as Lucy Gray Baird, a maid of honor from poor County 12. Tom Blythe stars as Coriolanus Snow, a younger version of Donald Sutherland's character in the original film.

Josh Andres Rivera plays Sejanus Plinth, a District 2 tribute mentor and close friend of young Coriolanus Snow.

Last week, Nick Benson, Laurel Marsden, Lily Cooper, Luna Staples, and Hiroki Bereklot were added to the cast. In addition, Hunter Shaffer has been identified as Tigris Snow, Coriolanus' cousin and confidant.

Francis Lawrence, who executed three of the four Hunger Games films -- Ignition, Mock Jay: Part One, and Mock Jay: Part Two -- returns to the director's chair. Michael Leslie writes the latest version of the screenplay.

Lawrence is also the producer of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, along with franchise producer Nina Jacobson and her partner Brad Simpson.
